Owen is officially one month old today! Yea!!!! What a month it has been! I went back today and reread a lot of the old blog posts. We have sure been through one crazy month and our little guy has come so far. He's grown from 2lb 10oz to 3lb 14oz. He went from having a ventilator breathing for him to breathing on his own. We've had all major medical issues that have been raised so far cleared and Owen has a clean bill of health! We're crossing our fingers it stays that way.
Some BIG news today - Owen nursed! The nurse said we would give it a shot, but not to expect much. He nursed for almost half an hour!! Again, he didn't get much milk, but he did get some and it was excellent practice. Remember, he's not supposed to have the ability to learn the 'suck-swallow-breathe' process until he's 34 weeks. He's only 31 right now! I think we have a little genius on our hands!
PS - We may have a BIG surprise tomorrow to share on the blog! If all goes as planned, we'll have some GREAT photos posted! Stay tuned.
