Some days I still can't believe we're home! It's such a great feeling. Owen is very healthy and doing really great - he's growing so fast! Today I had to put away his 'newborn' clothes because he's outgrown them! The most exciting addition this week is Owen SMILING! Today he started smiling at me in a purposeful way. I would make a funny noise or kiss his cheeks and he smiles! It is so, so wonderful and makes his limited 'awake' time each day so much fun. I'm still working to capture the smile in a photo! He's sneaky and it's hard, but I'll keep at it!

We created this blog to help family and friends from around the country stay up to date with our growing family. After the emergency c-section delivery of Owen on January 20th, 2010 (at 27 weeks gestation - 2lb 10 oz), this blog had an entirely new purpose - to keep family and friends up to date with his progress while he fought his way out of NICU (he was discharged after 77 long days)! I hope that my child, looking back on today Will remember a mother who had time to play;Because children grow up while you're not looking, There are years ahead for cleaning and cooking.So, quiet now cobwebs, dust go to sleep.I'm rocking my baby, and babies don't keep.
