Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone! We spent the day....where else? At the hospital! Rory and I went out to breakfast this morning and completely forgot it was Easter! We definitely remembered when we walked into a restaurant and it was PACKED! Luckily our favorite place found us a table in the back and we got to enjoy a nice brunch before heading in to see Owen. Owen's numbers came in from his blood work today and the EPO worked! His red blood count was higher (from 23 to 28.3 - 30 is the lowest range of 'normal') - yea! The doctor will decide tomorrow if it is 'high enough' or if they want to continue with another week of EPO, but it looks like we dodged a transfusion. We'll know tomorrow what the game plan is.

On the eating front, Owen did well. He took 3 bottles again today and 2 *almost* full bottles on top of that. It's been a great few days of eating! Send us your thoughts/prayers/karma that it continues and we can get up to full nipple feeds. That's the only thing we're waiting on to go home now that his red blood cell numbers came back in an OK range.
