I was planning to write something today about my niece, Mia Calvin, but my mom wrote something much better than I ever could:

Dear friends and family,

Baby Mia Calvin

Friday May 28, 2010 Baby Mia Calvin was born asleep. Over the last few weeks Terry and Rachael’s hopes and dreams for Mia’s future dramatically changed after discovering her tiny body was not capable of living with them.  Her little spirit was not meant for this earth.  Knowing that the people we love in heaven, Terry’s father and grandfather and Rachael’s great-grandparents, are taking turns holding Mia and spoiling her in heaven is a comfort.  Her resting place on earth was created in love by her Papa Jeff and Mama Bert. The joy and peace Mia has brought to her family was too short but will never be forgotten.
